Terms and Conditions of Booking

The Small Print.

  • Overwater Hall is an entirely non-smoking hotel
  • High Tea is available in the restaurant at 5.30pm for children under the age of five.
  • Your room will be ready any time after 3pm on the day of your arrival.
  • Should you anticipate arriving earlier than this, please let us know and we will try to have your room ready for you.
  • We ask that you vacate your room by 12 noon on your day of departure.
  • Please advise us prior to your arrival if you require a vegetarian menu choice, or have any other special dietary requirements.
  • We operate a smart-casual evening dress code.
  • No jeans or t-shirts, please.
  • We accept payment by Mastercard and Visa, but as a small business we prefer cash or your debit card. Thank you.
  • Your well behaved dog is very welcome to stay in your room at no additional charge.
  • A deposit of £50 per room is required on confirmation of your booking.
  • A larger deposit may be requested for long stays.
  • In the event of cancellation, this deposit will be refunded if the accommodation can be re-let (as approved by ABTA)
  • Cancellation Charges: where a confirmed booking is cancelled and the accommodation cannot be re-let, a cancellation charge will apply on the following scale: More than 2 weeks prior to arrival date: Deposit only.  Less than 2 weeks prior: the 1st night of your booking will be charged in full, excluding VAT. Details of Holiday Insurance are available if required.
