Tucked away in the unspoilt northern Lake District, in 18 acres of formal gardens and woodland, and with the dramatic backdrop of Skiddaw and the Uldale Fells, Overwater Hall is the perfect wedding venue.

Now licensed for Civil Marriage Ceremonies, with an excellent reputation for hospitality, service and food, and with eleven beautiful en suite bedrooms, your every need will be catered for throughout your special day.

Exclusive use of Overwater Hall will ensure that your wedding day feels like a house party. The timing of your day will be entirely up to you and Stephen and Angela and their team will be there solely for you and your guests, whenever you need them.

Stephen, Angela and Adrian want your wedding day to be as individual as you are.  They look forward to meeting you personally to discuss your requirements and to see how they might help to make your dream day come true.

What will it cost?

Exclusive use of the hotel includes:

- The use of one of our lovely lounges for your Wedding Ceremony;

- Οvernight accommodation and breakfast for up to 22 guests in our eleven beautiful double en suite bedrooms;

- Flowers in the Hall;

- Champagne and Canape Reception;

- Wedding Breakfast for up to 30 guests (Click here for sample menus);

- Wine with meal;

- After dinner drinks;

- Late night snacks.

For exclusive use of the Hall as described above, a one night stay will cost £5,000 (but remember, if you would like us to charge your guests directly for their accommodation and breakfast you can deduct £1,320, bringing your total cost down to £3,680).

Please note that a minimum two night booking is required over a weekend.

Where evening entertainment is required, this should be booked and paid for directly with the company.  Entertainers should have their own Public Liability Insurance.

In order to proceed, first contact the Hall to agree a provisional date, then you should contact the Superintendent Registrar, Mrs Karen Warwick, at Wigton Register Office, telephone number 01228 223446. A wedding at Overwater Hall depends on the Registrar and Superintendent Registrar being present. All fees for your marriage ceremony are payable directly to the Registrar.
